Ours vs. Theirs

Superfood Granulate™ vs. Human Food vs. Raw Diet vs. Kibble

PureScience Superfood Granulate™ - THE CLEAR WINNER!

The only option that is scientifically designed to facilitate natural hormone optimization through patented and proprietary technology developed specifically for dogs to maximize their health, wellness and longevity.

Human Food Diet - Remember when you weren't supposed to feed your dog table scraps?

We at PureScience are 100% in favor of the humanization of our dogs and why wouldn’t we be? Our beloved pets are an extension of our family and they deserve the absolute best. That starts with a healthy diet.

In fact our founder’s wife has a sign in their kitchen that says, “my kids are furry and have four feet”. While treating our furry children like little humans is adorable in most aspects of life it’s not necessarily the healthiest choice to humanize your dog when it comes to their diets. It’s incredibly important to recognize that dogs have an entirely different digestive system than humans.

Our digestive systems are so dramatically different from that of dogs that some normal human food items can be completely lethal to a dog.

Here are just a few examples of foods that humans regularly enjoy that can be toxic, dangerous and even lethal to dogs:

  • Chocolate
  • Garlic
  • Onion
  • Chives
  • Macadamia Nuts
  • Grapes
  • Raisins
  • Avocados

Because people see their pets as children it is unfortunately easy to persuade them into purchasing human food because it's what they eat and understand, but it is not the best choice for pets!

Raw Diet - Worth the risk? We don't think so!

While trying to find the best nutritional options for their pets, some pet parents have jumped on the raw diet bandwagon. This may not be the best choice either. In fact, The American Veterinary Medical Association suggests that you shouldn't feed dogs raw foods that aren't cooked, pasteurized, or irradiated to kill bacteria.

According to an article on dailypaws.com, “Pointing to a number of studies, the AVMA discourages raw or undercooked meat for dogs because it may contain potentially deadly pathogens that can sicken your pet and may even be transmitted to you and your family. The AVMA also says raw food diets may not be nutritionally balanced (which is especially dangerous for puppies); the diets' high protein levels may lead to liver or kidney disease. And giving whole bones to dogs comes with a risk of choking, broken teeth, or internal punctures.”Traditional Kibble Diet - Affordable, but at what cost? The long standing standard in pet food has been kibble. For decades and decades, we have relied on this tried and true option to feed and nourish our pets. Many pet parents love the convenience of kibble and the budget-friendly price point. However, traditional kibble may contain:

  • Artificial colors
  • Artificial flavors
  • Animal byproducts
  • High-temperature processing often kills vital nutrients
  • Often contains corn - low cost, but high allergen risk
  • Often contains wheat - low cost, but high allergen risk
  • Often contains soy - low cost source of protein, but high allergen risk
